A team that didn’t give up a single point during a 30-point streak lost.
The Dallas Mavericks suffered a 120-126 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2023-2024 NBA 스포츠토토 regular season on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.
It was a frustrating loss for Dallas. Dallas had made NBA history with a 30-0 run in the fourth quarter. Normally, a 20+ point run is considered a huge scoring run, and teams that go on 20+ point runs almost always win.
Dallas was down 87-111 with 11:09 left in the fourth quarter when they went on a 30-0 run that lasted about seven minutes. The intense defensive pressure forced Oklahoma City into turnover after turnover, and forced Lugentz Dot (Oklahoma City) to miss seven straight free throws. At the same time, on offense, Seth Curry and Luka Doncic turned the game around.
Suddenly, Dallas scored 30 straight points and didn’t give up a single point. With 4:18 left in the fourth quarter, they were up 117-111.
The 30-0 run was the largest scoring run in NBA history.
But Dallas came up short down the stretch. After giving up a putback to Chad Holmgren, they gave up back-to-back baskets to Jaylen Williams and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to lose 120-126.
Despite one of the most dominant scoring runs in NBA history, Dallas came up short. With an 11-8 record, they sit in sixth place in the West.
