The women’s recurve archery team Ansan Gwangju Women’s University succeeded in advancing to the final of the women’s individual competition held at Fuyang Inhu Sports Center in Hangzhou, China on the 3rd. He made it to the semifinals without much trouble. Ansan is a brilliant archer who won three gold medals in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
In the final of the individual competition, he will face his junior member, Il Sung-hyun Korea of the national team. “Everyone has the burden,” Il Sung-hyun said in a showdown with Ansan. I don’t feel burdened just because Ansan is older than me,” he said. Ansan has a similar idea. Ansan met with reporters after the game and said, “I think I said that because I’m not burdened, and I think I can play comfortably because I’m close to them. It doesn’t matter who wins the gold medal, but I will compete in good faith. Choi Ji-hyun shoots well. I think you’re doing well,” he said.
Ansan will compete in individual as well as team events. I’m going to win two gold medals. The team event will be held with Il-Hyun and Choi Mi-sun Gwangju Bank. Ansan said, “I have a clear goal for the team event rather than the individual event. I’m going to focus on the team event. I think I was more greedy because we were together. “I felt at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics that winning a medal as a team was a proud and valuable thing to do,” he stressed.
Ansan, which said, “I hope Korea will raise the national flag high on the podium,” is more relaxed than the Tokyo Olympics. “I think I’ve got time to look around. During the Tokyo Olympics, I didn’t look at my opponent on purpose and focused on myself,” he said. “Now I think I’m seeing the stands and other players or stadiums.” As I gained experience, I gave up my impatience and became relaxed,” he smiled.
