South Korean soccer forward Cho Kyu-sung scored his sixth goal in the Danish Professional Soccer League on a penalty kick.
His club Mittwillan won 4-1 away to Hvidovre in the 14th round of the 2023-2024 Danish Professional Football Superliga at Hvidovre Stadium in Hvidovre, Denmark, on Saturday (June 6).
Cho Kyu-sung, who started and played until the end of the match, scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 28th minute after his team took a 1-0 lead.
It’s been about five weeks since Cho scored a goal in a match for his club, after a penalty against Odense in late September.
Cho has six goals and two assists in league play this season, including one in UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualifying, for a total of seven goals and two assists in all competitions.
Mittwillan, whose momentum was dampened by a 0-1 loss in the round of 16 of the Danish Cup against Copenhagen on Jan. 1, is unbeaten in its last eight league games (five wins and three draws).
With eight wins, three draws and three defeats and 27 points, Midtjylland are third in the 12-team table. In first place is Copenhagen with 32 points (10 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses).
Cho’s teammate Lee Han-beom came on as a substitute in the 43rd minute and picked up an assist.
Lee, who joined Mittwilan in late August after playing for K League club FC Seoul, made his debut for Mittwilan, setting up Ola Brynhildsen’s goal in the 45th minute with the team leading 3-1.
Football stats site Footmob gave Cho an 8.0 rating for his goal.
Sofascore also gave Lee a 7.4 and Cho a 7.2 performance rating.
Mittwillan will play a league match against Nordsjælland on the 13th. 토토사이트
