The Massachusetts Gaming Commission’s (MGC) Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement (IEB) has imposed a $20,000 civil administrative fine on Big Night Benue Boston Harbor (Memoire) for two incidents of failing to comply with alcohol service requirements in Memoire. The incident took place in August and September 2022 at a nightclub located in Boston Harbor, Angkor. Memoir will also continue to implement remedial measures to prevent future non-compliance cases.
Memoire has been working with IEB to comply with the required corrective actions as a result of previous incidents of non-compliance with alcohol service regulations. The IEB acknowledges that Memoire employees have utilized some corrective actions in evaluating these two incidents and that Memoire employees have taken appropriate disciplinary action against employees involved in one of the non-compliance cases.
“IEB appreciates Memoir’s responsiveness and the improvement in alcohol service practices after the August and September events,” said Kathleen Kramer, senior executive adviser to IEB. “IEB will continue to monitor Memoir’s compliance with game regulations and regulations and the agreed corrective actions presented in 2022. We look forward to continuing to work with IEB on this important issue.”
