‘Who’s gonna stop Coburn?’ Samsung blows out Jeong Kwan Jang by 13 points…wins third in last five games

Seoul Samsung’s rise is scary.

Samsung defeated Jungkwanjang 73-60 in the fifth round of the 2023-24 season at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on Wednesday. The last-place Samsung, with a 9-33 record, closed the gap on eighth-place 스포츠토토 Jungkwanjang (13-28) to 4.5 games.

The victory was led by Kofi Coburn, who recorded a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Lee Jung-hyun also had a double-double with 10 points and nine assists.

After the game, acting head coach Kim Hyo-beom said, “Coburn had a blocked shot by Lee Jong-hyun. I told him not to be intimidated, and he did a great job in the second half.”

“I’m happy to get my first win of the season against Jungkwanjang, and one of my goals for this round was to catch a team that hasn’t beaten us before,” Coburn said.

At the Wonju General Gymnasium, first-place DB defeated third-place SK 82-68. With a 33-10 record, DB is seven games behind third-place SK (25-16).

DB was led by Jeff Widdie with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Lawson led the team with 18 points. Park In-woong added 13 points. SK was held to 10 points from their trusted ace Jamil Warney.
