Soccer player Lee Kang-in has asked for respect for his privacy.
On the 19th, Lee posted a post on his Instagram story that began, “Thank you for all the love and attention!” He continued, “But please respect my privacy.
He continued, “But please respect my privacy. I often feel embarrassed if you suddenly film me with a camera or film me when I don’t want to,” he added.
Born in 2001, Lee Kang-in, who is 22 years old, was first recognized in 2007 when he appeared on KBS2’s “Fly Away Shoot Doll 3”. As a soccer prodigy, Lee moved to Spain in 2011 and spent his youth career with Valencia CF.
In 2021, Lee moved to RCD Mallorca in the Spanish La Liga. In the 2022-2023 season, Lee made 35 starts and four substitute appearances, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
After a successful first full-time season, Lee completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain FC on July 9. Lee has signed a five-year contract with the club through 2028.
Lee becomes the first Asian soccer player to join PSG. The transfer fee is reportedly €22 million (approximately KRW 31.4 billion).
After the signing was officially announced, attention turned to Lee’s jersey. Due to unprecedented demand, there have been delays in shipping.
When Lee Kang-in shows up at the training center, he is reportedly mobbed by fans. Lee Kang-in is known for his fan service. However, when it went beyond that and invaded his privacy, he politely asked for privacy.
PSG will play a friendly against Le Havre AC on May 21. After that, the team will tour Asia.
PSG will face Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nasr, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays, in Osaka, Japan, on Sept. 25. They will then play a friendly against Cerezo Osaka on the 28th.
On Aug. 1, PSG will host Inter Milan in Tokyo before wrapping up its East Asian tour with a friendly against Jeonbuk Hyundai in Busan on Aug. 3.
