Dodgers’ No. 22 prospect Jig Hyun-seok may debut in 2027.

MLB.com has projected the big league debut of right-handed pitcher Jang Hyun-seok (Masan Yongmago), who signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers to go “straight to the MLB,” to be in 2027.

MLB.com ranked the top prospects for each team on July 17 (KST).

In the rankings, which include the top 30 prospects for each organization, Jang was ranked 22nd by the Dodgers.

According to MLB.com, “Jang has three above-average pitches. His four-seam fastball averages 93 to 95 miles per hour (149 to 152 km/h) and has touched 97 miles per hour (156 km/h). He also has a hard slider that sits 84 to 87 miles per hour (135 to 140 km/h) and a curve that sits 76 to 82 miles per hour (122 to 131 km/h). He has an excellent changeup.”

“His changeup, which sits 82-84 miles per hour (132-135 km/h), lacks command compared to his other pitches, but with more refinement, it can be an average pitch. He can develop into a mid-rotation starter or better. I see him making his major league debut in 2027.”

MLB.com also provided a “20-80 scale evaluation” (lowest 20-highest 80), which is commonly used by major league scouts.

Jang’s 20-80 scale was 60 for his fastball, 60 for his curve, 60 for his slider, 50 for his changeup, 50 for his breaking ball, and 45 overall.

According to MLB.com, “The Dodgers traded a prospect in the organization to acquire Jang Hyun-seok.”

Jang is the “best high school pitcher in South Korea” with a 6-3 record and 1.85 ERA in 21 career high school games.

He throws a hard-hitting fastball that reaches speeds in excess of 150 kilometers per hour, and after debating whether to try out for the United States and join the KBO, he announced his intention to play in the MLB on April 1.

The Dodgers, who had been watching Jang for a long time, signed him for $900,000 (about 1.19 billion won).

“I want to be the No. 1 starter for the Dodgers like Clayton Kershaw, 카지노사이트넷 and the batter I want to face is Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Angels),” Jang said at the Dodgers’ induction ceremony on April 14.
