Baseball’s NC Dinos pitcher Shin Min-hyuk smiled as he faced off against the “monster” Ryu Hyun-jin of the Hanwha Eagles. Lee Jae-won induced a fly ball to right field, but gave up a single to left to Lee Do-yoon. Ahn Chi-hong came home to score the first run of the inning. He then induced Hwang Young-mook to ground out to shortstop to end the inning.
Shin Min-hyuk led off the third inning with a double off Lee Won-seok. Jang Jin-hyuk (grounder to second base), Kim Tae-yeon (grounder to center field), and Noh Si-hwan (grounder to third base) followed.
In the top of the fourth, Chae gave up a solo arch to left field. On a 1B-1S pitch count, he threw a three-pitch fastball (142 mph) for a single over the left field fence.
After back-to-back singles by Lee Jae-won and Lee Do-yoon, Shin Min-hyuk got Hwang Young-mook to fly out to shortstop. Lee Won-seok’s grounder to shortstop was mishandled by the third baseman and the bases were loaded. Pinch-hitter Jonathan Peraza worked a full count and induced a wild swing with a six-pitch changeup.
In the fifth,
